A Year by the Sea

*This project is still in progress as I begin printing, choosing materials, and selecting binding techniques.

Designing a calendar requires developing a clear visual system that can sustain interest throughout the year's 52 weeks. For this project, I developed a simple toolkit of illustrations and graphic elements that could be repeated and adapted throughout the calendar. I chose to focus on a coastal seafood theme, using hand-drawn illustrations to bring a playful, tactile quality to the design. Each illustration was drawn by hand, scanned, and refined digitally using Photoshop and Illustrator before being integrated into the final layouts.
