Texture Study
Using wire mesh, plaster sheets, and wooden spools, I created an organic form through an exploratory process focused on understanding material behavior. By manipulating the mesh and layering plaster, I developed a textured surface that mimics the irregular qualities of natural rock formations.
Then, I constructed a wooden structure that mimicked the surface's contours. The contrast between the rigid geometric lines and the organic plaster form highlights the relationship between structure and landscape.
